I was just talking to a friend of mine in Utah.\u00a0 He is a single Dad with two kids – daughter and son, just like me.<\/p>\n

I told him, I have lots of friends in Sexaholics Anonymous that fall into one of the following categories:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Single, never married, no children<\/li>\n
  2. Single, divorced, no children<\/li>\n
  3. Married, no children<\/li>\n
  4. Single, adult children (over age 18)<\/li>\n
  5. Married, adult children (over age 18)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I am married going on 14 years and have a 11 year old daughter and a 9 year old son.\u00a0 Both of them have NEVER seen me drink or get high.\u00a0 I used to be an terrible addict and ODAAT I am getting better, thanks to SA.\u00a0 Incidentally, my AA sobriety date is 11\/7\/96.<\/p>\n

    So, what’s the point?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The point is this.\u00a0 It is very hard talking to people sometimes who don’t have young children because I don’t think they understand how DIFFICULT life can be raising them.\u00a0 Even if their children are grown up, they probably are forgot or are certainly not feeling nearly the anxiety that I feel on a daily basis.<\/p>\n

    And to make matters worse, I have been really struggling in my career.\u00a0 I had a great job 1-1\/2 years ago as\u00a0a college professor.\u00a0 Unfortunately, I was fired because I could not relate better to the students.\u00a0 Truthfully, I think I may have been too strict on them because I was punishing them for the mistakes I made as an undergraduate student and wanted to teach them a VALUABLE lesson.\u00a0 Study hard.\u00a0 Don’t take education for granted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
