It’s very interesting how some people interpret “attraction rather than promotion” when someone makes an announcement<\/em> at a Sexaholics Anonymous meeting.<\/p>\n

According to our 11th Tradition, “Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion; we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of press, radio, films, and TV.”<\/p>\n

It’s been my experience that some people get this mixed up with propaganda<\/strong>.\u00a0 The definition means information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution, nation, etc.<\/p>\n

\"gay_propaganda\"<\/a>This interpretation sounds a lot like listening to the political debates in our country.\u00a0\u00a0A lot of candidates say they will not engage in negative campaigns but do it anyway.\u00a0 Consequently, there is a lot of rhetoric<\/strong> and false promises.\u00a0 The definition of rhetoric (in writing or speech) is the undue use of exaggeration or display; bombast.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in my opinion\u00a0I think that what is really at the heart of most of these controversies is EGO (easing god out).\u00a0 For example, using the political debates again as an example, how often do you hear candidates complain that so and so got more air time? Thus, they are essentially complaining about unfair treatment or favoritism.<\/p>\n

Sure, it is generally obvious to the entire world when folks are grandstanding and\u00a0showing off.\u00a0 By definition, this is\u00a0to conduct oneself or perform showily or ostentatiously in an attempt to impress onlookers.\u00a0 So, if you find yourself talking a lot, perhaps you should read this article, click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
