We\u00a0are always looking for trusted servants to help!<\/strong>\u00a0 “There is an unwritten step underlying all twelve.\u00a0 Call it Step Zero: “We participated in the fellowship of the program.” No one seems able to stay sober and progress in recovery without it, though some try.\u00a0 For most of us, without associating in some way with other recovering individuals, there is no lasting sobriety and none of the fringe benefits of recovery, growth, freedom, and joy.\u00a0 This holds true even for “loners” (those without groups).\u00a0 We don’t try to explain this; it is simply a fact.” (SA WB pg. 63)<\/p>\n

Participate on the Call<\/h2>\n

Just coming to the meeting is a form of 12th Step work.\u00a0 Even if you don’t say a word, your presence is noticed and it helps others.\u00a0 There is something to be said for “strength in numbers”.\u00a0 Step Twelve: “Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these Steps, we tried to carry this message to sexaholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.”\u00a0 In the old days, folks who stood next to the entrance of the church were assigned a job known as “Greeters”.\u00a0 They simply welcomed everyone who walked in and introduced themselves.<\/p>\n

When the secretary asks for a volunteer to read, speak up.\u00a0 Have your White Book handy beforehand.\u00a0 Soon, everyone will want to read, so be patient.\u00a0 There are plenty of meetings that need people to help read the literature.\u00a0 It is a great blessing to everyone on the call listening to someone read, because some people are driving or at work and can only listen.<\/p>\n

We don’t have coffee makers, but being a secretary (aka chairperson or facilitator) of meeting is a great form of Service.\u00a0 Tradition One: “Our common welfare should come first; personal recovery depends on SA unity.”\u00a0 Fortunately, Roy K. wrote down many suggested Meeting Guidelines (click here<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Website Committee<\/h2>\n

We are a\u00a0group of SA members interested in supporting the future growth of our SA Teleconference Meetings and electronic technology for Sexaholics Anonymous (e.g. SA literature online similar to AA Big Book and AA Twelve & Twelve).\u00a0 The committee\u00a0is a diverse group of sober, international men and women with some strong technical backgrounds, as well as your \u201caverage Joe and plain Jane\u201d who\u00a0meet regularly to make decisions about the direction of the SAPhoneMeeting website and provide oversight.<\/p>\n

The saphonemeeting.org<\/a> site has been very successful\u00a0serving as a resource for Sexaholics Anonymous members for over\u00a05 years.\u00a0 Its primary goal is to provide timely, accurate and consistent information about SA Phone Meetings, as well as self-supporting, declining outside contributions and financially reporting 7th Tradition donations to SAICO.\u00a0 In particular, many callers rely on the meeting format\/scripts published online as a handy resource to help lead\/facilitate meetings.\u00a0 In addition, SA initiated a beta site in February, 2013 (click here<\/a>)\u00a0to build a robust database bring more modern capabilities to the worldwide fellowship.<\/p>\n
